The D-1 was part of the basic series from 1999 until 2005. Some of them had a pickup system installed (B-Band New Frontier or A-1) and in that case have the name "D-1 P". The regular necks have been 44mm wide, although we built many with so-called "New Profile", which is 46mm wide. Some earlier models also had rosewood fingerboards and bridges instead of the ebony ones.

Body shape
Dreadnought
Most people notice a Dreadnought very quickly by its looks. It is the “classic” among steel-string acoustic guitars. This guitar is typically favored by singer/songwriters. Legendary musicians such as Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, or John Lennon were all Dreadnought players. Thanks to its slightly wider waist and larger top surface, this body shape offers more depth along with rich basses and lower mids.
