Lakewood Warranty
Each Lakewood is unique – built with dedication in our workshop.
We select all woods and materials with the utmost care and process them with precision.
Because we are convinced of our quality, we provide you with a 10-year warranty. Your Lakewood is meant to accompany you well beyond this period – as a guitar that will bring you joy for many years.
All Lakewood guitars are covered by a 10-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects. The warranty begins with the date of manufacture. The warranty is not the same as the statutory warranty, which may vary depending on the country where you purchased the guitar from an authorized dealer (and is usually considerably shorter).
However, the warranty is not a "wild card". Therefore, we kindly remind you of your duty of care. Take good care of your instrument and you will enjoy it for a very long time.
The manufacturer’s warranty excludes the following:
Some components of the guitar, such as tuners, cases, gigbags, and pickup systems, are covered by a warranty of only two years.
Repairs and modifications not expressly authorized by Lakewood will void the warranty.
The warranty is transferable.
Lakewood Guitars cannot be held liable for consequential costs arising from a defect of an instrument.
To clarify whether a warranty case exists, please contact Lakewood at service@lakewood.de.
For the possible shipment of your guitar to Lakewood, please use sufficiently secure packaging. Transport and insurance costs are to be borne by you as the owner of the instrument.
Please include your address, telephone number, and a description of the defect. Contact us before shipping so we can coordinate everything together.
Lakewood will carry out the repair in accordance with the warranty terms and return the instrument to you. The return shipping costs are to be borne by the owner of the instrument. Should no warranty case exist, you can choose whether to have your instrument repaired at your expense or to have it returned unrepaired.
In the case of a statutory warranty, Lakewood will cover the shipping costs for both directions.
